Most water supplies contain dissolved minerals such as chlorine and aluminum that can leave a residual smell and taste in the water. If you get your water from other than municipal supply, your water may also contain parasitic cysts such as Cryptosporidium. Microlene purifiers are manufactured to Microlene’s own unique blend and have been independently tested to remove 99.94% Cryptosporidium cysts and comply with AS/NZS 4348:1995 Domestic Water Treatment Appliances. This is achieved through a two stage filter process where the water is filtered first to 10 micron then 1 micron which removes cyst as well as reducing sediment such as rust, grit and algae if present in the water.

The Microlene Standard Connection Purifiers can be used as replacements for all underbench systems irrespective of brand. It is as simple as connecting your existing tubing to the Microlene Purifiers. If your existing under bench system does not directly connect with the purifier with tubing or you want to turn an existing standard Microlene into a Quick Connect system, then you can use a Microlene Quick Connect Conversion Kit. There are two Quick Connect Conversion Kits, Standard and Premium it all depends on your water source and how long you want the purifier to last. Refer to your local Microlene Dealer about which system suits your application.
Standard purifiers contain premium grade granulated activated carbon to help reduce chlorine, asbestos, pesticides, sulphur and other odours which may be present in your water. Microlene Standard Purifiers have a sanitisation life span of two years or 10,000 litres (whichever comes first). They are recommended to be used with rainwater.
Premium purifiers contain premium grade granulated activated carbon bonded with silver ion (to extended sanitisation life of the purifier), as well as KDF media to help reduce chlorine, asbestos, pesticides, sulphur, aluminium, lead and other heavy metals which may be dissolved in the water. Microlene Premium (URBAN) Purifiers have a sanitisation life span of three years and they are recommended to be used with mains water.
